Hurriyyah Kamaruzzaman is a corporate lawyer with a decade of experience in corporate, commercial, real estate and corporate finance transactions covering various business segments. She regularly advises an array of corporate bodies, statutory bodies, project companies and financial institutions. Her corporate practice ranges from ordinary acquisition and disposal of business assets to procurement activities in the private and public sectors which include concession and framework arrangements with various governmental agencies and ministries. She has undertaken multiple project financing, conveyancing, commercial documentations in the realm of debt securities and advised financial institutions and trust companies in protecting their security interest as well. Hurriyyah’s past stint in corporate finance with a public-listed conglomerate enables her with a realistic appreciation of the workings of market and corporate sector. This has placed her in a particularly advantageous position of appreciating the importance of commercial priorities and business realities when advising clients on the appropriate legal strategy that is not only commercially viable but tailored to their needs. Hurriyyah has the distinction of being one of the few Malaysian lawyers who have been accepted to read the Master of Laws at Cornell University, USA. Hurriyyah is also a member of the Malaysian Bar Council’s Corporate and Commercial Law Committee.
