Tan Sri Datuk Harmindar Singh Dhaliwal is a distinguished former Federal Court Judge of Malaysia with over 40 years of experience in the Judicial and Legal Service. He brings exceptional depth in appellate decision-making, judicial reasoning, and public law, with a reputation for clarity, balance, and principled judgment. He leads the firm’s International Commercial & Admiralty practice, where he provides strategic insight on complex litigation matters. Tan Sri also handles appellate advocacy in such matters. His judicial experience at the highest level of the Malaysian courts offers clients a rare and valuable perspective on legal risk, case strategy, and judicial thinking. Tan Sri began his career in 1982 and held a wide range of senior positions within the Judicial and Legal Service, including Magistrate, Senior Assistant Registrar of the High Court, Sessions Court Judge, Senior Federal Counsel, and Senior Assistant Parliamentary Draftsman. His cross-functional experience provides a comprehensive understanding of Malaysia’s legal and institutional framework. Over the course of his judicial career, he has written nearly 1,000 written judgments in almost every aspect of the law. Recently, Tan Sri was appointed by the Minister in Prime Minister’s Department (Law & Institutional Reforms) as the Chairman of the Criminal Law Review Committee, where he continues to contribute to legal reform and policy development in Malaysia
