Chia Loong Thye is actively involved in real estate transactions, corporate and commercial matters including private mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, corporate restructurings/reorganisations and joint ventures. He is also familiar with preparing shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, trust deeds and preparing the relevant legal documentation in respect of the incorporation of foundations and trust. Additionally, Chia also provided advice and legal representation in tax related matters such as RPGT, GST, stamp duty and income tax. Chia Loong Thye started his journey in the field of civil litigation before participating in other dispute resolution process which includes industrial disputes, international arbitration and mediation. As a qualified mediator with the Malaysian Mediation Centre since 2000, Chia had mediated a number of commercial and civil disputes such as construction dispute, shareholders’ dispute and disputes pertaining to the administration of estates. He is also a qualified Adjudicator with the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) since 2016.
