Upholding The Federal Constitution: The Judicial Thoughts Of Dato’ Seri Hishamudin Yunus

A momentous occasion for us at Rosli Dahlan Saravana Partnership yesterday when the Negeri Sembilan Ruler, DYMM Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir launched our book titled “Upholding The Federal Constitution: The Judicial Thoughts Of Dato’ Seri Hishamudin Yunus”.

The event was also graced by YAM Tunku Besar Seri Menanti together with YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin and YAA Chief Justice of Malaysia. Nearly 400 guests including 30 over Judges attended the book launch at the Sofitel Hotel.

In his Royal Address, Tuanku Muhriz emphasised that independence is the essence of the judiciary. Hence, it is imperative that judicial independence is always maintained and protected. Tuanku commented that “It is the judiciary to whom we entrust to protect the fundamental principles embodied in our Federal Constitution… Judges are bound to uphold their judicial oath steadfastly and constantly remind themselves that their decisions have a profound impact on society.”
